Welcome to the Fort Sumter - Fort Moultrie Trust



thumb_sumter-200The Trust is the friends group for Charleston's national parks including Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie, and the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site.  

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and utilizing these American treasures for the common good. 

The Trust supports the National Park Service (NPS) with privately-funded programs and activities beyond the resources of the NPS.

Visiting Fort Sumter?

Fort Sumter is located on a small island in Charleston Harbor and is accessible only by boat.  Ferry service to Fort Sumter is provided by the concession-operated ferry service.  For more information including departure locations, times and ticket prices, please visit the Fort Sumter Tours website.
